A Pyrolysis Machine (Reactor) is an industrial system designed to thermally decompose plastic waste, biomass, tyres, or other organic materials in an oxygen-free (or oxygen-limited) environment. This process, known as pyrolysis, converts the feedstock into valuable products such as biochar/carbon black, pyrolysis oil, and combustible gas.
Main Components
Feed Hopper Feeds raw material into the reactor.
Pyrolysis Reactor Main vessel where thermal decomposition takes place.
Heating Furnace/Burner Provides indirect heat to the reactor.
Insulation Reduces heat loss and improves efficiency.
Gas Outlet Pipeline Transfers pyrolysis gas to the condenser or burner.
Condenser System Cools the gas to recover pyrolysis oil (for plastic and tyre applications).
Char Discharge System Removes biochar or carbon black safely.
Control Panel Monitors and controls temperature, pressure, and reactor operation.
Working Principle
Raw material is fed into the reactor.
The reactor is sealed to maintain an oxygen-free environment.
Indirect heat raises the reactor temperature to the required operating range.
The material undergoes thermal decomposition (pyrolysis).
Pyrolysis gas is generated and can be reused as fuel for the burner.
Condensable vapours are cooled to produce pyrolysis oil (where applicable).
Solid residue (biochar or carbon black) is discharged after cooling.
